What is Floter Skin?

Thickness: 1.4 mm

It is called "floter" or "shringer" leather. It is a type of textured leather with small, round or irregular bumps (pebble-like appearance) on the surface of the skin. These bumps can often be natural or created through special treatments.

Features:

  • Durable: Its rough surface makes it more resistant to scratches and abrasions.

  • Flexible: It generally has a softer and more pliable structure.

  • Luxury Look: Often used in high-quality bags, wallets, and shoes.

  • Easy Care: Shows stains and scratches less compared to smooth leather.

Some brands may also call this type of leather "grain leather" or "textured leather". Products in which it is used include luxury bags (for example, from brands like Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Coach), wallets, and shoes.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“I used Crazy Camel leather to make my wallet; it’s very easy to work with and its natural texture is wonderful! The color gets better over time, it has exactly the aging effect I wanted. I will definitely buy it again.”

    — Zeynep T., Bag Manufacturer

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“We bought them in bulk for our workshop; the surface quality and thickness are quite consistent. It’s not easy to find the same quality in all products, but Deritedarik is very successful in this regard.”

    — Melis D., Small-scale producer
